Hi Bob,
I'm still using Paint Shop Pro 5 (1998). I only use it occasionally, I
don't do a lot of image editing, really. I haven't really had any reason
to update to anything newer.
I've also used The GIMP here and there... also works very well, but not
as user-friendly, at least not for me.
Long, long ago, I also tried PhotoShop. Couldn't figure out how to do
anything with it, and quickly gave up. Really, this was the outstanding
thing for me with PSP, I could figure out how to do what I wanted to do
without resorting to documentation, online tutorials, or other forms of
training.
If I did image editing all the time, I'm sure I'd learn the more complex
software... but I don't.

The discusion about animated Gif's and PaintShop pro showed me that I'm not
the only one who loves that program.
At least, I did until Corel bought it.
What do you folks use to replace it? I've been using PaintShop Pro since it
was shareware and would fit on a single diskette. I need something to do
graphics with. Not really Photo stuff, but creating images, gradients, etc,
etc. Mainly, web stuff.
