I use PaintShop Pro V8 right now. Copyright 2003.

My use isn't casual really. But Photo Shop is EXPENSIVE. And one thing you
learn as a small business is that money is no longer an Abstract Concept. It
is out of my back pocket.

The version that I have is at least a few years old but it still has its
place sometimes. I do tend to use Photo Shop more and more. I bought
Adobe's CS3 package a couple of years ago when I started working with
Flash and Photo Shop was included. It's not exactly a cheap product for
the casual user but it works great.

Subject: [PCTECH] Speaking of PaintShop Pro
Sent by: pctech-bounces@xxxxxxxxxxxx

The discusion about animated Gif's and PaintShop pro showed me that I'm
not
the only one who loves that program.

At least, I did until Corel bought it.

What do you folks use to replace it? I've been using PaintShop Pro
since it
was shareware and would fit on a single diskette. I need something to
do
graphics with. Not really Photo stuff, but creating images, gradients,
etc,
etc. Mainly, web stuff.
