Thanks for the response;

I do think it's installed correctly, since there is a setup program that
does the software installation work, but I have rechecked the work it did,
comparing Sandy's installation against Jims.

Recently I lost my hard drive, which means I lost my installation of vb
software, so I guess I'll have to reinstall it and begin debugging the
process.

We got the code for the mailmerge program from a third party company,
which we later bought from them, along with an iSeries software package.
This vb program merges data from the iseries with word document on the pc
network to create correspondence to customers. I'm actually a iseries RPG
programmer, not a vb programmer, which is why I came to this forum, hoping
someone out there could give me some direction on understanding the
problem. I'm not really a vb programmer, although I have made some
modifications to the product.

The code below is where the error is originating from:.
