It might be some other device being turned on or off at that time of day

different channel. That device may not even be in the 3G frequency band
to affect your situation. Even stranger, it could be a multi-path
reflection from a door nearby - think about warehouse loading docks.

You need a friend with a spectrum analyser to find out for sure what's
happening.

Interesting speculation. You could be onto something there.

When I was working at my very first job as a programmer on a S/34 at Tyler
Refrigeration Corporation, the service parts department had a terminal and
printer that was on a 2000-foot twinax run. Every day at around 3:00 pm,
the terminal and printer would go down mysteriously, then work sporadically
during the afternoon.

One day I decided to trace out the route of the cable in the overhead, and
happened upon a huge TIG welder (not in use) in the plant that was located
directly underneath the twinax welder. I asked one of the supervisors when
that machine was turned on, and he indicated that it was currently only used
on the second shift, and was powered up each day at 3:00 pm.

The welder was causing the interference, so the only solution was to
re-route the twinax cable...
