To the right of the switch (if you're looking directly at the switch), there
is what appears to be a small, round LED. When you slide the switch "on",
does that light come on? Mine does not (actually, I'm not even sure that
it's a LED because I've never seen it 'on' - it just appears to be an LED to
me).

I _just_ got a new Latitude D630 (it arrived yesterday).

On my system, the slider switch goes two ways ... if I slide the switch
to the back of the laptop, it turns off the wireless, the other
activates a built in wireless finder.
