I was told no dial-up.
Dan: Everything everyone said had sense in it... right up to here. Told by whom? For what possible reason except for large data volume requirements? They'd never even know and couldn't enforce it. Besides, what is meant by "secure" in the subject line? Is your PC/laptop secure already? In general, it won't matter what ISP and access route you use; there really aren't many guys sneaking unnoticed into switching centers and doing a lot of sniffing (ok, sure... the feds; but your company isn't hiding from them)(I suppose). Now, OTOH, there are a LOT of attempts to take over your PC/laptop and those attempts _TRY_ to find connections to broadband and _avoid_ dialup. If you want a zombie, you want one that's always-on and hi-speed. In those circumstances, it isn't VPN, etc., that make much difference; it's your firewall and related elements. Tom Liotta
