As I recall, ad-hoc networks are PC to PC wireless networking without going
through an access point or other device. I haven't really played with
this. My experience has been using wireless to access existing networks.

Esteemed colleagues,
As referenced recently, I am new to the wonderful world of wi-fi with the
company-issued laptop.
In the "Wireless Network Connection" dialog box, What are the
"computer-to-computer (ad-hoc) networks"? What should I make of one that's
called "Free Internet Access"?
TIA,
Dan
