I would lean toward leaving the system alone as long as you can,
because the costs are falling.  But the key question is ... when do
you anticipate having to upgrade for performance or reliability
reasons?

If the answer is 6 months or less, I would upgrade now.  If the answer
is more than 6 months, it depends on how bothersome the "flakiness" is
and how much effort the upgrade will be.  I seem to recollect that the
last time you upgraded it was more hassle than anticipated.
