I have a ThinkPad, and it has a nifty little program called "IBM Access Connections" that vastly simplifies managing multiple connection configurations. I imagine that other brand laptops have a similar program. If your laptop does, you can use that program to configure a "home" connection configuration that disables the connection not used. The wireless is not built in, the wireless card you have might also have a similar program. That said, you should also be able to get to the bottom of this by manually disabling the wireless and wired connections and figuring out which is really working. Have fun! I usually find this kind of stuff a strange combination of frustrating and intriguing. -- Tom Jedrzejewicz tomjedrz@xxxxxxxxx
