Wow, THAT is a change and I had no idea. Years ago they were very helpful
with us installing OS/2 on a notebook for a scientific application that our
labs were using where I worked at the time. They told us it wasn't supported
and then proceeded to tell us where to find all the drivers for sound, etc.
that we needed. Too bad they have changed.

Thanks !

Chuck

I'd go with the IBM ThinkPad.

I Probably will not purchase another Toshiba (available at CostCo) because
of their attitude towards operating systems that they didn't install. Eg:
you are screwed and they will NOT help. Even if you just want to go from XP
Home to XP Pro.

No experience with Acer.

Bob
