I've not seen anything from MS that requires you to be an admin to run (other that admin stuff like security policy editing.) But things like office, visio, etc. No problem. I have seen third party products that require admin rights, but that's a problem w/the third party product, not XP. I would imagine they had the same problem on W2K, no? Now, to install some things you may need admin rights, yes, but isn't that the idea, by making them not-an-admin you're removed the ability for them to install crap? Can you give an example of a popular product that needs admin rights? Perhaps we can find the issue. I know, for example, that QuickBooks had an issue where it wanted rights to a registry key that a "normal person" wouldn't have (this was years ago, don't ask which one) and granting that access allowed QB to run fine. -Walden ------------ Walden H Leverich III Tech Software (516) 627-3800 x11 WaldenL@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxx http://www.TechSoftInc.com Quiquid latine dictum sit altum viditur.
