Outlook with Exchange does not necessarily use .PST files. The off line storage is a .OST file. This is generally on your local hard drive but can be put on a file server. Mail is generally left on the server. If you set up a personnel folder, .PST, you can have your mail delivered there, but it will no longer be on the server. Works more like a POP3 account when configured that way. Tools / Services / Microsoft Exchange Server / Properties / Advanced Check enable Offline use.
