I think this has gone around before, but if you are in an Exchange
environment, there is NO reason, I repeat, NO REASON to use PSTs. PST's su*k
and are evil. This is well documented convential wisdom in the exchange
community. In fact, Microsoft supplies a registry hack to prevent the use of
PSTs in organizations.

PSTs provide a non-centralized storage mechanism which makes backups, virus
scans, corporate and regulatory audits and upgrades difficult if not
impossible.

storage is a .OST file.  This is generally on your local hard drive but can
be put on a file server.  Mail is generally left on the server.  If you set
up a personnel folder, .PST, you can have your mail delivered there, but it
will no longer be on the server.  Works more like a POP3 account when
configured that way.

Tools / Services / Microsoft Exchange Server / Properties / Advanced
Check enable Offline use.  Then you can set the location of the .OST

I currently close out of Outlook before I leave each evening and copy the
*.pst file(s) to another drive... No automatic deal.

Do you have a way of automating this ? I do have a Zip drive 250MB and a
Bonzai USB Mini-Drive with 32MB card (too small...).
