I heard Steve Will mention ActiveMQ during a recent stream. That's what got me looking at that option.

Subject: [IBMiOSS] Message/Queuing: RabbitMQ vs. ActiveMQ

The recent post about ActiveMQ caught my interest, so I did some light research. We are developing primarily in Python (aside from RPG/CL) so I also looked at RabbitMQ.

Do folks with more experience in these areas have a preference? ActiveMQ does have some Python interfaces and of course it does REST so the Java vs.
Python thing is not as big a deal as it could be, but then again, I'd rather not introduce another dependency in our software.

Thoughts?
