I was just wondering about python virtual environments on the IBMi.
Do people use these (Is it even implemented?)
The venv module is implemented. The nice thing about Python on PASE
(as opposed to iSeriesPython in QSYS.LIB) is that it's very complete.
I'm confident that folks who are used to using venv on other platforms
are already using it on PASE.
(I have to phrase it like that because, embarrassingly enough, I am
personally not very used to venv myself. I experimented with it a
little bit on PUB400.com a while ago, which is why I'm comfortable
saying that it works. I cannot give you any tips on it, though.)
