Couple things.

1 - Your prompt of ">" leads me to believe you're either running this from
QSH or QP2TERM. I'd highly recommend doing an ssh session into your
machine using a Windows bash client (https://gitforwindows.org) and running
the commands that way. Further, I'd highly recommend you get bash installed
on your IBM i and use that as your shell.

2 - What version of the IBM i OS are you on?

ibmichroot/downloads<https://protect-us.mimecast.com/s/

Unzip it on your desktop and upload it to /QOpenSys/ibmichroot Don't use
the one from 5733OPS because it is most likely out of date and won't be
updated.

2 - Make sure to run it as someone with *ALLOBJ and *IOSYSCFG authority.

Side note: The community (me) is working on creating an ibmichroot.rpm file
so install will be as simple as: yum install ibmichroot
