One of the topics that came up at the COMMON Spring 2017 Annual conference
was where to get news. I thought I'd share one of my approaches and the
one I'd recommend for newcomers.
I believe the current best approach to get news about IBM i OSS is to setup
a twitter account + Tweetdeck and an #IBMiOSS column (see pic at below
URL).

Doing the above will keep your inbox clean (you don't get emails, you have
to visit your tweetdeck page, which I like) and will let you know of most
announcements.
