If PyCrypto is the ONLY package you need that isn't pure Python, you
could try iSeriesPython instead of IBM's Python. iSeriesPython comes
with a precompiled PyCrypto.
If you will need to compile other things as well, then Kevin's advice
(of getting gcc working in PASE) is almost definitely your best bet.
