Steve, >So, to get Dell's "Award Winning Customer Support" in English, you have to >pay extra! Otherwise it's Hindi, Spanish, etc... Dell outsources their support. I live in a small rural community which several years ago put in a six hundred (or so) seat call center with the primary customer being Dell. It became a pretty important employer considering the size of the local community, and I knew quite a few people who worked there. The company (not Dell, but the service company) moved offshore, building a 1600 seat call center in the Phillipines. My oldest son's father-in-law spent 6 months there training people, then they dropped him with no severance too. With long distance so cheap, I suspect the labor savings differential dwarfs the communications expense. Doug
