Hi Jeff -
Does anybody know a way to delay the signon screen for X seconds so the whole thing would be automatic?
Assuming that you are running CAE on the PC and are mapping to a netserver share, and assuming that you don't need the mapping in place for the logon itself ... You could write a .bat file with a delay followed by the mapping, then put a shortcut to the .bat in your startup folder. I leave my home PC on all of the time (except during thunderstorms, which are rare here). IMO, the energy used is less than the wear and tear on the hardware by powering it down and back up. (Same thing applies to AS/400s.) Ken Opinions expressed are my own and do not necessarily represent the views of my employer or anyone in their right mind.
