John, I'm not an expert in this area but . . . How much profit would ownership of these copyrights generate for the new owner? Assuming that they would pay money up front to the current owner plus would have expenses related to marketing, what would be left over? There are formulas for determining the current value of future profit. That would strike me as a reasonable way to go. If the parties cannot reach some reasonable agreement of the revenue potential of the applications, then it might make more sense to enter into an agreement for future royalties based upon sale of the applications. Generous enough to the agent so that they have an incentive to invest in marketing and fair enough to the seller so that they feel comfortable turning over ownership.
