Agreed. Anyone remember those eServer infrastructure commercials? "I'm psyched, the boards psyched", "Cool is my daughter piercing her eyebrow", etc. At the end they referenced this infrastructure document that you could get. I knew it wasn't going to be much but I always like to read what our executives might be seeing so I ordered one. Not a bad document. Definitely 50,000 ft executive view. The one thing that got me was the document had a sidebar section with the dictionary of IBM operating systems. Guess what? No OS/400. I wish I could find it. I'm sure it listed AIX, z/OS, and even Linux. But no OS/400. Grrrrrrrrrrrrr. I did read the article and I agree it was positive. I was just reacting to what Leif posted. It doesn't seem right to blow over os/400 in such a list and it just reminded me of the way the 400 (oops iSeries) is often portrayed - iSeries: Formerly the AS/400. Mini-mainframes running *AIX and Linux*. (Not what i usually run on it) I think OS/400 is the biggest asset it has and it wasn't even mentioned in the box - which may be the only thing many seeing the article read. Granted any press is better than none, I just can't believe the 'box' didn't even mention The os. Regards Rick DuVall Systems Manager Dealer's Auto Auction of Okc, Inc.
