I enjoyed the comments regarding IBM Global Services' support (or
lack thereof) of the iSeries platform but it missed a few key points
that might have helped readers better understand IGS's position:

shortage of iSeries-fluent college graduates than any business
strategy. The two IBM groups cited in the article, IGS iSeries
Services and the Custom Technology Center, were staffed with
experienced iSeries experts from the Rochester plant and lab. In
order to maximize IGS's profits, they preferred to staff projects
with lower-paid recent college graduates.
