Nah, most programmers don't argue all that often. Heck, even the threads in
these message lists are pretty short because we're a very agreeable lot.
It's not like every discussion over programming languages, operating systems
and/or equipment we discuss get's elevated into some sort of religious
debate. Nope, you must be thinking of another group of people.

::sniff:: Wow, the sarcasm is so think in here, I can smell it ;).

Seriously, I doubt anyone's feathers will get ruffled over that.

BTW, I started my AS/400 career with the "AS/400 Primer" by Ernie Malaga. If
it weren't for that book and a chance temporary job at the company that
published the book, I'd probably be among the unwashed masses that don't
understand this glorious machine (oops, my own tech-religious views poking
through...hehe). Although, it helped to have the author (and other Guru's)
around to expand on subjects...

I hope ya'll know that I wasn't bashing programmers or anything! (I'm taking
a programming class in the spring.) I don't want to offend anyone here, and
since I'm new, I worry that what I said might not be taken as I meant it.. a
very light-hearted joke. Boris was the first programmer I ever met. It took
me a while to realize that when he's picking apart everything I say and
driving me up a wall, he was just doing what comes natural to him. (He was
often shocked that I would get angry. "What's wrong?? We just debating.." as
I've got steam coming out of my ears.) I've found that many of his
programmer friends are the same way. I hope you super-techies out there
understand. :)
