Staples is running a promotion that gets you about $500 worth of merchandise for the cost of buying XP plus the sales tax on that $500 and the cost of postage. I will actually use, and have been planning or was already shopping for, about $350 worth of that merchandise. Final cost: $135. What really bugs me is that I am adding to the number of XP copies that Microsh*t has sold and gets to brag about. In its current state, I wouldn't let XP within 10 feet of my PC. Maybe I should set up a small bonfire and videotape the sacrifice of an unopened XP package. And post that video on a web site somewhere. I understand that CD-ROMs burn with brilliant colors.
