Why? I should think that if anything, there *ought* to be a unified
email-to-text portal that covers *all* cell phone providers. There's
certainly no technological reason why not. If there were, then I

I used to get flooded with sms spam that was sent via email until AT&T
provided the option to disable it.

If someone needs to send bulk texts, probably best to use a short code
provider.

For operational messages, you might want to look into something like
pagerduty.
