Hello,
I'm searching for a classic IBM documentation PDF file, explaining strdbg.
I have found SC09-1897-00, "ADTS/400: Interactive Source Debugger" from 1994 with less than 40 pages. Not sure if something newer is existing, and relevant for me?
In the online docs section, I see there is a similarly structured tree for every ILE language here:
https://www.ibm.com/docs/en/i/7.6.0?topic=programming-ile-languages
From there, it's
=> C and C++ => ILE C/C++ Programmer's Guide => Debugging Programs
=> COBOL => ILE COBOL Programmer's Guide => Compiling, Running, and Debugging ILE COBOLPrograms => Debugging a Program
=> RPG => ILE RPG Programmer's Guide => Debugging and Exception Handling => Debugging Programs
From that point, all three language documentation converge towards the initial chapter "The ILE source debugger" (the title for RPG being somewhat truncated):
https://www.ibm.com/docs/en/i/7.6.0?topic=programs-ile-source-debugger
https://www.ibm.com/docs/en/i/7.6.0?topic=program-ile-source-debugger
https://www.ibm.com/docs/en/i/7.6.0?topic=programs-ile-source
Does this mean, there is no debugger-centric documentation?
Sub-question: What is the key difference between strdbg and strisdb?
Thanks!
:wq! PoC
