Yeah, try to imagine the Internet without the protocol that Tim-Berners-Lee developed for communications and set free onto the world.

I am really glad though that the nature of IT made it impractical for politicians to find a way to regulate it. Not that anything they impose is practical. With patent law, Big Tech has to waste millions of $ with patent sharing agrreements, and a Microsoft 'patent" that cross-references country codes with a method to match them with countries, except the patent language is much longer and more hilarious.
