Simple.  Fail to pay the subscription, or to upgrade when it becomes time.
Then it will cease to function.  Can it be any easier than that?
Easier than that? Yes, it's called having a permanent license. And having a support contract on. Or off if one is so inclined.
Or decide to keep the machine running at my risk with no support according to to very peculiar and different things that can happen in a context (i.e. IBM doesn't renew the key and will require new hardware but a company fusion is imminent and doesn't justify the investment in new, i.e. raising geopolitical concern increasing energy prices and CPI 40% on renewal and cash strapped that year, and many other things).I like choice.
