Had a guy retire and much of the O365 email checking is falling on to my
lap.
All this stuff people are telling you about RDNS, etc? It's a real
concern. If that doesn't match up just so the email goes into quarantine
folder and we have to manually check that throughout the day to see if that
is legitimate. If we deem it worthy we release it on.
And if the email comes from a gmail, yahoo and a certain case of other
stuff it, too, will go into quarantine and we have to release it. I really
try to convince people to avoid sending stuff from their gmail account to
their work account. Most of these have remote access to O365 so there's
really no reason. Having to manually release it distracts me when I see
attachments like resume.doc, etc.

I apologize for bringing this up again.

I'm using SMTPSendMail (on OS v5) and the SNDSMTPEMM command (on OS v7) to
send emails with attachments from within a RPGLE program.

Reviewing the joblog indicates the emails are sent successfully (email
server engages and responds with expected messages). But emails never
arrive. This used to work a few years ago.
I've tried sending to several different domains, including personal,
business, and gmail accounts.

I've also tried this on servers that are not mine. No emails arrive.

Can someone point me in a direction to figure out why? Where else can I
look?

Kind Regards,

Thomas Garvey
