Hi Jim,

So, does anyone use AI tools to create a UI that would presumably call IBM i web services (IWS based) to get and display results? How difficult is it to do those things? Which tool (hopefully moderately priced)?

If you want a good UI transition tool, you should get Profound or something similar. It's pricey, but its worth it.

If you only need some web services - IWS is quite good.

If you don't want to learn the typical web technology stack, there is IMHO no tool, that can do this for you with AI - at least not really good. Those so-called "vibe-coders" are 99% fake and 1% stupidity - sometimes the other way around.

But learning that web tech stack is not a bad idea - and it helps keeping the grey matter moving. A quick start isn't so hard - a bit of HTML and some (not much) JavaScript or PHP will mostly do it - and with IWS you already have a working back-end.

Kind regards,
Daniel
