I’ve watched the on going debate about the UI, (5250 vs. anything else) with relative amusement since 90% of the discussion is a repeat almost every year. What does intrigue me now though is an article in the Wall Street Journal that says folks are creating their own apps with AI tools, who do not know how to code. That fits into my category because while I can and do create software in IBM i the whole app/html etc. world is beyond my skill set. (And being old enough to not want to spend a year learning all of that)

If one uses the Model/View/Controller design pattern it would seem that those tools would fit into the process quite nicely.

So, does anyone use AI tools to create a UI that would presumably call IBM i web services (IWS based) to get and display results? How difficult is it to do those things? Which tool (hopefully moderately priced)?
