The UID and GID on both sides MUST match. The hard part is getting the windows side done, so it’s easier to get the windows profile UID/GID and make profiles on IBM i that match them.

The Win domain admin (after consulting with CHATGPT)
asked for the MOUNT to be made by a user having UID = 1000 and GID=1000
(for test purposes)
So I created a dummy usrprf with UID = 1000 and GID=1000 and used it to do
the MOUNT.

Same result - files are created locked.
