You will see the *OIR mentioned occasionally in problem descriptions and for certain APIs, etc.

Hi Mark

I admit to being confused - I don't see anything about OIR information
in the output file for DSPPGMREF, and not in the documentation - what
have I missed?

How else can we do this?  DSPPGMREF is the only documented and supported interface to obtain the "*OIR" information (object information repository) for each library.

Looks like ol' Bob is cheating a little - he's just wrapping the DSPPGMREF
command in SQL and doing a CALL QSYS2.QCMDEXC rather than running it from a
command line.

Oh, well - thanks for your help, Mark!

All -

I'm trying to identify all programs on the system that use a specific
IBM-provided Service Program (*SVCPGM).  I can do this using DSPPGMREF on a
particular program or *ALL programs in a library and searching through the
resulting list.

I would prefer to use SQL to get the list of programs - is there a service
that will return this information?  I expect to provide the Service Program
name and receive a list of all programs using that program.
