Yes I did. Actually, the object was being restored from SEQNBR 1.

I did go ahead and open a case with IBM. Their solution was to install PTF MJ00545 to address any restore using small block saves and check SAVxxx commands ensuring USEOPTBLK => *YES. The manual lists *YES as the default on the various save commands, but our system lists it as *NO. Hmm...the defaults have been changed. We, like I imagine most if not all shops do, have a CLP that we run after doing an OS upgrade changing command defaults and sure enough, that program is changing the defaults to *NO. The question is why was that done to begin with.
