Highly recommend it!  Just finished a Python programming class I took as an elective on a Master Degree program I am in.  We used "Python Crash Course" as a text although most of the learning was through online lecture and assignments.  I got an A in the class and got a 96/100 on our capstone project - A hotel reservation system (simplified) - That code here if you have an interest: https://github.com/ValueAddedSoftware/IS6495/tree/main

Easy to learn.  Used both VS Code and PyCharm community edition for an IDE (I think I liked PyCharm better).  Immediately applied it to a work project in reformatting HTML pages using the BeautifulSoup library.  If I can pick it up quickly, anyone can. Did I mention it's fun?  and can give you some "street cred" in the under-30 cohort.

Definitely take it for  a spin.

Wanting to learn something new, I have decided to learn Python but all I really know is that it's an invasive snake in FL.

What do you think is a better approach.
Learn it from the perspective of running on the IBMi and that port that knowledge to the rest of the world, or.
Learn it from the perspective the rest of the world and port that over to the IBMi?

Is there really much difference?
Recommended resource for either or both.

I am thinking I might take some of my web service applications (RPGLE) and create the Python version.

All guidance is greatly appreciated!
