It's always good to start, of course, with the basics. Python is indeed an
object-oriented language and it supports most of those features, in fact,
more compliant with the C++ than Java, which doesn't have many of
the key OO features, i.e., it doesn't support multi-class inheritance.

Learn a few basic lessons, and then you will find that what makes the
platform rich is its extensions in the form of modules that you will find
everywhere on the Web. The basic language is more or less the same, but
has evolved with time.

The UDEMY option: I took one of those, but unfortunately, since it was so
inexpensive, by the time I was following the lessons, I crashed with not
finding many of external resources, so I got disappointed and quit.

Try it out,it's FUN!.

Wanting to learn something new, I have decided to learn Python but all I
really know is that it's an invasive snake in FL.

What do you think is a better approach.
Learn it from the perspective of running on the IBMi and that port that
knowledge to the rest of the world, or.
Learn it from the perspective the rest of the world and port that over to
the IBMi?

Is there really much difference?
Recommended resource for either or both.

I am thinking I might take some of my web service applications (RPGLE) and
create the Python version.

All guidance is greatly appreciated!
