The internal search function is temporarily non-functional. The current search engine is no longer viable and we are researching alternatives.
As a stop gap measure, we are using Google's custom search engine service.
If you know of an easy to use, open source, search engine ... please contact support@midrange.com.
If you're talking about 2 LPARs on the same physical box, there's arguably less risk there than across a network switch.
But SFTP or SCP are encrypted, so it "can't hurt" your security stance to go with those methods of transfer.

Subject: FTP security question...
We are starting/started using SFTP but I was wondering if FTP between
partitions on the IBM i is a security concern.
Occasionally I want to send a production file to my dev partition for
testing. In the past I did this using FTP.
I'm just wondering if SFTP is needed when sending files across partitions?
