Hello All,

I have a program that accepts a 16 digit scan. But I have barcodes that
are greater than 16 digits being scanned. Do you know of a way to ignore
the trailing characters after the 16 digits?. I am finding that the
program has no control over the trailing characters and the screen stays in
a lock state until it is cleared. (like there is an error). I am
wondering how a 16 byte field can carry more than its actual length. Any
help and suggestions would be appreciated - thanks in advance.

Scan the barcode

Screen after the scan, causing the user to clear the message.
