The internal search function is temporarily non-functional. The current search engine is no longer viable and we are researching alternatives.
As a stop gap measure, we are using Google's custom search engine service.

If I make a configuration change to the scanner, then that scanner might
have a need to scan longer than the 16 positions in another application.
I am looking for a cleaner solution, where we could keep the ER on for 16
digits and somehow truncate the scan without a configuration change on the
scanner.
