RE: IBM I 720 - no access mystery

Back in the early 90's at an Austin client, the system shut down suddenly one day. After getting it running again, I assisted the system operator investigate what happened.

It seems that the system administrator (who had no formal AS/400 training) had given all users (who were also AS/400 ignorant) the initial menu MAIN. One of them had negotiated his way to the SYSTEM menu and selected option 60 (More system task options) and on the SYSTEM2 menu had selected option 80 (Power off the system).
