If it is upgraded within the same enterprise then all the IBM i licenses, users, and all LPPs can be transferred to another machine (new or used) for a fee.

If it is sold to a different enterprise, then only the IBM i licenses and users go with it. Any LPPs stay with the original enterprise.

*EXCEPTION: If the machine is dev/demo licensed, then nothing moves.
*EXCEPTION2: If the machine is a CBU then nothing moves.
