Interesting remark. What's your opinion of a machines's status from a hobbyist view: A gifted machine with disks erased "for data protection reasons" and with a shrug of "sorry, we already scrapped all documents and install media"? I think about machines with hardware and software no longer supported by IBM.
*EXCEPTION2: If the machine is a CBU then nothing moves.
My I kindly ask for an explanation about CBU? I don't know the term.
