Frank,
IMHO your biggest bang for the buck is Exit Point software... We purchased Precisely Assure in 2021 (after an attack). I really like the software and how it allows us to lock things down.
The good people at HelpSystems also allowed us to demo their Antivirus software for a while... I liked it, but we didn't end up purchasing it.
