There were people who could sign on with QUSER authority, and in short order, ask you what you would like your new serial number to be, or what you would like your new QSECOFR password to be. As far as I know, we're all retired now.

Do such products even exist?

So far as I'm aware, nobody has successfully infected any IBM Midrange box in the real world with malware, without either QSECOFR-level access and/or social engineering being involved.

Of course, if used for file serving, a Midrange box could be a vector, but so could a USB thumb-drive.
