Hello Frank,

Hi, I'm not sure if this is the correct place or not but I've been asked to review Antivirus/ransomware software for iSeries so what options are there and what are your experiences and/or recommendations?

In addition to the remarks from others:
- This discussion comes up now and then. Please search the archives, recommendations have been named earlier.
- The one and only known occasion where it makes sense to put IBM i and Ransom-/Malware into one sentence is when you use it as a file server for Windows Systems which are the primary runtime target for Malware. Aka, where the actual encryption routine runs. NOT on IBM i.
- My opinion is that such attempts have to be blocked on the client side by appropriate software. As such, this becomes mainly a Windows-Problem. Maybe terminals weren't such a bad idea at all? :-)

:wq! PoC
