First thanks all for trying.

This is (sorry for it being long) what I have tried to do:

How shares were created:
I created the folder using the IFS interfacd from ACS.
Authorities were added depending on requirements (personal, public?)
The shares were then added using the web-based navigator.
Authorities checked at this stage too.
Error messages:
In windows ? none. The folder simply does not connect. However IF I
try the
wrong password I get a message. That the site is ?Already connected
with a d
different user-password. Although in reality it is not connected.
No messages in QSYSOPR.
In history log nothing to be found either.
The folder structure:
For common folders (all users) they are under a main folder directly
under root.
Like:
Company_name
Shared_Documents
Quality
Applications
Personal folders are placed under the /Home folder.
Access to folders:
Many folders have full public access.
All personal folders have access restricted to QSEC (creator) and
the individual user.
Method to connect in windows:
Using the windows explorer functions. Right-click on ?this computer?
followed by standard windows attach dialog.
Again messages:
None.
Users local or remote:
I work remote (VPN) and connect just fine with my user.
Locally users cannot connect with their own user profiles (which
match authorities set for folders and shares) BUT can connect with my
userid or QSEC (tested using remote control software).
Windows version:
They use both version 10 and version 11.
SMB restrictions:
None that I am aware of.

And since I got the advice to setup the ?GO NETS? menu ? that does not work
at all since the library QUSRTOOL does not exist on the system.
