The internal search function is temporarily non-functional. The current search engine is no longer viable and we are researching alternatives.
As a stop gap measure, we are using Google's custom search engine service.
If you know of an easy to use, open source, search engine ... please contact email@example.com.
You will need a Proxy server in your DMZ with public access that can re-direct the request to your iSeries web service. I would not put the iSeries directly on the internet even if it is NAT'd.

Subject: Webservice behind VPN
I'm working on a web service that will allow users of our software to check if they have the latest version of our software. It's running in test on one of our IBM i servers but that server can only be reached via a VPN.
I'm admitting my ignorance here (as usual) but I need advice on how to expose this web service to the world without requiring VPN connectivity but still maintaining full protection of other resources on this server.
Advice, counsel, or direction on informative reading materials on this subject are welcome.
