Re: Help with order by

I need help building this statement.
IBMi does not like it.

set schema oprutllib;



(Select Distinct upper(Process), Schedule_Year, Schedule_Period,

'Tasks' As File,

Schedule

from Mth_Tasks

Union All

Select Distinct upper(Process), Schedule_Year, Schedule_Period,

'Log' As File,

Schedule

from Mth_Logs )

Order by upper(Process), Schedule_Year desc, Schedule_Period desc, Schedule
Desc

----------------------


If I do the order by as : Order by Process, Schedule_Year desc,
Schedule_Period desc, Schedule Desc

it complains that PROCESS is undefined or not in the list.


As the field Process allows both upper and lower case, I need to be able to
sort using uppercase.


Any Suggestions would be appreciated.
