Just guessing…. If you put a desktop router that doesn’t have the same
problem in between the modem and production router and put a smart switch
on that network you could get a smart switch to reboot?

Assign a hard coded IP?

interface is down or some other issue and reset the interface or for that
matter restart the router.

But that is most likely a significant cost also.

It is an ASUS and from the reading I've done I think it has the auto-boot
option that David mentioned. Can't check the model number remotely and I
don't have it written down anywhere.

outages
at this location and a UPS with enough capacity would be too expensive I

think.

David's idea might work for me as I _think_ the router may have an auto
re-boot capability.

We're going to be on-site next week so I can test various solutions
then.
